Supporting Charities
Every year since 2002 our Bowls Club has raised funds for the charity Magpas Air Ambulance. The generosity of the club members has resulted in thousands of pounds being raised for this worthwhile cause.
To date we have donated £29,896.00
Our annual Charity Triples Competition was another great success, raising £1660, which was split evenly between Magpas and Prostrate Cancer.
We recently visited Magpas near Huntingdon and was given a guided tour showing us the newly built facility. We were lucky to be able to view the helicopter they use while we were there. We also had the opportunity to see their training hub where they use VERY life-like dummies. We had an enjoyable afternoon and a big thank you to Emma our host.
